Lt Col John Davidson, Commander
Lt Col Davidson attended Belmont University in Nashville, TN on a 3 1/2 year full ROTC scholarship and graduated in 1982. He attended pilot training at Williams AFB, AZ and received his USAF wings in 1983. After pilot training, Lt Col Davidson was a T-38 instructor pilot, check pilot and Runway Supervisory Unit Controller. After Williams, Lt Col Davidson was assigned to McGuire AFB, NJ to fly the C-141 Starlifter. During his three years at McGuire he was an instructor pilot and an air refueling instructor. Lt Col Davidson flew the first Intermediate Nuclear Forces Treaty mission to Moscow as well as the first mission in support of the earthquake in Soviet Armenia. In those three years, Lt Col Davidson flew the C-141 to over 50 countries. Lt Col Davidson has worked with the Civil Air Patrol for 20 years. He previously was on staff for Advanced Para-Rescue Orientation Course, Kirtland AFB, NM and SUPTFC-TX. Lt Col Davidson joined SUPTFC-MS in 1995 as a T-38 instructor. Class 11-01 will be Lt Col Davidson’s 16th year at SUPTFC. He is currently a B-737-800 Captain for Delta Airlines based in Atlanta, Georgia.
