Capt Joseph Jones joined Civil Air Patrol in 2006 as the Aerospace Education Officer for a new School Enrichment Squadron, GA-808. Shortly after joining, was appointed Deputy Commander and currently is the Commander of GA-808. Capt Jones holds undergraduate degrees in Physics and Mechanical Engineering and a Masters degree in Engineering Management with a Minor in Software Engineering. Capt Jones holds several specialty track ratings in Administration, Personnel, Cadet Programs, Aerospace Education and a Masters rating Information Technology. Capt Jones is currently rated as a Basic Observer/Scanner, Ground Team Leader, Mission Staff Assistant, Flight Line Supervisor, Skill Evaluation Trainer, and Mission Radio Operator. Capt Jones enjoys computers, flying, reading, science fiction, and CAP. Capt Jones lives in Byron Georgia with is wife Joan and their 3 daughters Ashley, Brittany and Rachel (two are cadets in CAP and the other is a junior cadet).
