Captain Thomas Owens, Academic Instructor

Capt. Tom Owens serves the Georgia Wing of Civil Air Patrol as the Director of Aerospace Education. He holds graduate degrees in Control Systems Engineering as well as Commercial Multiengine and Flight Instructor Ratings. He is a current CAP Mission Pilot, Mission Observer and AFROTC Orientation Pilot. Capt. Owens enjoys flying both gliders and powered aircraft. He trains primary students in his G1000 DA40 Diamond Star at McCollum Field in Kennesaw, GA. He lives in the town of Smyrna with his wife Kathy and their rescued Siberian Husky, Nikki.
