Major Keith Riddle, Vice Commander
This will be Maj. Riddles’ seventh year at SUPTFC.
Having joined Civil Air Patrol in 1982 Maj Riddle received the Mitchell Award in 1986, achieving the rank of cadet Flight Officer, serving as squadron DCC and as a Wing CAC representative. In the same year, he represented the MS Wing as a member of the drill team at the South East Region cadet competition. Attaining senior member status in 1992, Maj Riddle was promoted to the rank of 2Lt as a member of the Keesler-Ocean Springs Composite Squadron. Serving in communications, and logistics. During which he completed Squadron Leadership School, and was the recipient of the Yeager AE Award. Re-joining the Civil Air Patrol in 2003, Maj Riddle obtained the mission scanner and observer ratings, and completed the Corporate Learning Course. In the spring of 2006, Maj Riddle obtained the Master Observer rating and currently has logged over 600 hours as a CAP mission observer. He has participated as aircrew on numerous missions in the past five years, as well as a weeklong deployment to south Florida after Hurricane Charley performing DR missions. Receiving promotion to 1Lt, in 2004 and having completed Level III, received the Grover Loening Award in 2005. He received the squadron level senior member of the year award for 2004, and was named the Mississippi Wing Communicator of the Year for 2004. In December of 2005, he was promoted to Captain. In 2006, he completed the Mission Observer course at the National Emergency Services Academy, was presented honors as the Distinguished Graduate, received the Paul E. Garber Award, for completion of Level IV, presented the Exceptional Service Award for actions during the Mississippi and Louisiana Katrina Task Force response, and was selected as the Mississippi Wing 2006 Senior Member of the Year. He received promotion to Major in December of 2008, and currently serves as the Inspector General for the MS Wing. An aviation enthusiast since his earliest years, Capt Riddle is currently a regional aviation photographer and historian for A.I.R. Aircraft in Review, an aviation media service located in NJ. With recent photo credits in such publications as Air International, Combat Aircraft, Smoke Trails (The Quarterly Journal of the F-4 Phantom II Society), World Airpower Journal, And International Airpower Review. He currently resides in Gulfport, MS.
