Major Frank Warner, Executive Officer
Frank Warner joined the Civil Air Patrol in January 2006 entering with the rank of Captain. He holds two masters degrees, Management and Economics, and currently is teaching economics for the University of Phoenix in their On-Line classrooms. His bachelor degree is in Business Administration.
Maj Warner spent four years in the Air Force serving at Columbus AFB, MS when it was a Strategic Air Command base. He was awarded the Airmen’s Medal by the Air Force. After his Honorable Discharge he earned his bachelors degree while working for a world-wide supplemental airline. While employed there he earned his Commercial Pilot’s license with Instrument Rating. Additionally he earned his Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic’s license while working on transport category aircraft.
After earning his bachelor degree he enlisted in the Navy and served for three years at Millington, TN where he graduated from the Advanced Electronics course. After graduation he was selected for Instructor duty and graduated from the Navy Instructor Training Course. He then was assigned to the Officer Management School where he helped write and teach the management course for Navy and Marine Corps officers.
After his Honorable Discharge from the Navy he remained in the Memphis area and earned his two masters degrees at the University of Memphis.
He has been married for 44 years and his wife is a retired teacher from Memphis City Schools. He owned his own computer services business for many years and is presently semi-retired. In addition to his teaching duties Maj Warner will be active in the Civil Air Patrol performing duties related to his recent assignment as the Wing External Aerospace Education Officer. He plans on becoming a CAP Mission Pilot and a Flight Instructor. Maj Warner is enthusiastic about being able to help guide CAP cadets toward successful futures.
